Onezipe A. “Zip” Hebert Jr., 90, a native and resident of Galliano, La., died Saturday, July 26, at 6:41 a.m.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Jean Duke and husband Rev. James Monty Duke Jr.; sisters, Emelda Lafont and Enesia Lejeune; grandchildren, Carlos Plaisance and wife Darcus and Destin Plaisance and wife Keisha; and great-grandchildren, Austin, Mason and Bently Plaisance.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Savoie Hebert; son, Rudy Hebert; parents, Onezipe Sr. and Enesia Smith Hebert; brothers, Bertould “Bert”, Sandras, Roy and Lipton Hebert; and sisters, Alzina Pitre, Beatrice Pitre, Delphine Hebert and Adelia Guidry.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano with a religious service to follow. He will be buried at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
