Onida “Granny” Marguerita Dardar, 92, a native of Pointe-aux-Chenes, La., and resident of Upper Little Caillou, La., died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011.
She is survived by her sons, Albert (Theresa) Verdin and Edward Billiot; brothers, Samuel and Paris Dardar; sisters, Anna Billiot and Naté Brunet; 11 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Francis Verdin; her second husband, Gustave Billiot; parents, Bazile and Azalie Naquin Dardar; one son, Royal Billiot; one daughter, Rita Verdin; two brothers, Theo and Andrew Dardar; one sister, Nolia Dardar; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She is buried at Rogers Cemetery.
