Pastor Albert Martin Charles, 87, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011.
Mr. Charles was a retired pastor with First Baptist Church in Paradis, La., and a retired Navy Veteran. He was also a member of Glory-to-Glory ministries in Baton Rouge, La.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel Charles; son, Keith Charles; daughters, Patricia Charles, Betty Brown and Adeline (Gene) Calhoun; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Charles Jr. and Adeline Causey; brother, James Causey; sister, Mamie Causey; and grandparents, Celestin Morrison, and Martin Sr. and Nellie Charles.
He is buried at First Baptist Church. (Community)
