Tillman talks Terrebonne, reflects on vital three terms

Paul Joseph Boquet, 84, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Montegut, La., died at 10:35 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5, 2011.


Mr. Boquet served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from Texaco after 37 years of service. He loved his orange trees and enjoyed spending time with his friends, grandkids and great grandkids. He never put off until tomorrow what he could do today. He was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.


He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae Boquet; sons, Ronald Sr. (Sherry), Robert Sr. (Linette) and Chris (Debbie) Boquet; daughters, Arlene (Henry) Klingman and Gwen (Dale) Rogers; stepsons, Ray (Charlene) and Ricky (Colleen) Melancon; stepdaughters, Doris Melancon; sisters, Rena (Wilbert) Lasseigne and Margie Neal; brother, Wilfred (Verena) Boquet; 17 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lou Boquet; parents, Joseph and Flora Boquet; stepdaughter, Lois Verdin; brothers, Lloyd, Edwin and Lawrence Boquet; and sisters, Josephine Belanger, Marlene Hebert, Barbara LeCompte and Gertie Boquet.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
