April 18, 2012Pearl Duffy Cheramie, 89, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died at 3:42 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2012.
Mrs. Cheramie was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off and a member of Catholic Daughters and the Ladies VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by her sons, Walton Jr. and Shane Cheramie; daughters, Sandra and Lucy Callais; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walton Cheramie Sr.; parents, Nicholas and Lucy Duffy; brothers, Max and Jean Duffy; and sisters, Ida Lasseigne, Jeanne St. Pierre, Vivian Cheramie, Clara and Louise Plaisance, Emelda Adams, Pauline Cretini and Verna Thomassie.
Burial was at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
