Peggy Mistich Reinhardt, 79, a native of Buras, La., and a resident of Lockport, La., died Wednesday, June 18.


She is survived by her sons, Tyrrell Reinhardt and wife Jan, Edward Reinhardt and wife Dianell and Darwin Reinhardt; daughter, Pam R. Hill and husband Mark; sister, Marceline St. Germain; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Bubba” Reinhardt; brothers, Chester, Henry, Maurice and Ben Mistich; and sisters, Rosie Lincoln, Margie Granger and Vivan Hays.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a very creative person who enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and loved her fish ponds and flowers. She was the first lady alderman of Lockport. She was an original founder of the Lockport Carnival Club. She was retired from St. Anne Hospital and was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 20, followed by mass at Holy Savior Catholic Church. She will be buried at Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport.

Falgout Funeral Home of Lockport is in charge of the arrangements.
