Percy C. LeCompte, 86, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died Tuesday, December 9.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Laurella Duplantis LeCompte; two sons and spouses, Jesse and Etha Ann LeCompte and Aswell and Donna LeCompte; two daughters and spouses, Brenda and Terry LeBlanc and Nell and Freddie Crochet; three brothers, Chester, Aubrey and Charles LeCompte; two sisters, Helen Soudelier and Barbara Breaux; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruffin Charles and America Pitre LeCompte; two brothers, Lester and Cyrus LeCompte; and one sister, Dorothy LeCompte.
He was a World War II veteran of the Philippines and a retired boat builder and boat captain.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin with mass to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
