Percy J. Collins, Sr., 76, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, La., died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday at Samart Funeral Home in Bayou Blue, La. and from 8: 30 to 11 a.m. funeral time Tuesday at Holy Family with burial in the Holy Family Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marie Avet Collins; three sons, Percy J. Collins, Jr. and wife, Veronica B., David F. Collins and wife, Debra, and former wife, Diana Fanguy, Timmy P. Collins and wife, Mary Ann Fanguy; two brothers, Floyd Collins and wife, Mary, and Donald Collins and wife, Diana; one sister, Barbara Theriot and companion, Anthony J. Griffin; 11 + 5 step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 step-great, great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Myrtile J. and Libby Trosclair Collins; his son, Farrecll James Collins; his grandparents, Eugene and Eveline L. Collins, and Lazin and Doresia T. Trosclair; two brothers, Wanna and Arnold Collins, and two sisters, Joyce C. Voisin and Norma C. Authement.
He was a net maker hobbiest and a retired commercial fisherman by trade.
Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
