Quincy Edward Chambers, 25, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Wednesday, September 3.

He is survived by his wife, Delishia Trelise Paul of Raceland; his parents, Faye Marie Chambers of Raceland and Van Johnson of New Iberia, La.; his step-parents, Charles Poindexter of Raceland and Stella Johnson of New Iberia; one son, Da’Quincy Paul Chambers of Raceland; one daughter, Zireya Aujona Chambers of Raceland; two sisters, Page L. Poindexter of Raceland and Chandara Smith of New Iberia; four brothers, Scotty O. Poindexter of Raceland, Preston Johnson of New Iberia, Kenell Johnson of Oklahoma and Aaron Johnson of New Orleans, La.; and his grandmother, Olivia Preston of Raceland.


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ella Mae Chambers and Edward Chambers.

He was Baptist.

He was buried at Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Raceland.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
