Ray Paul Domangue Sr., 70, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, July 31, 2011.


Mr. Domangue was a very kind, caring and generous person. He was full of life and besides loving his family, he loved Elvis and his LSU tigers. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jennie Domangue; son, Ray Jr. (Laura) Domangue; daughters, Tammy (Al) Boudreaux and Sandy (Rory) Sons; stepdaughters, Jessica Fanguy, Robin (Richard) Sasser and Kim Vauclin; first wife, Ruth Smith; brothers, Druis, Aaron and Raymond Domangue; sister, Mazie Boudreaux; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Vanis and Gertrude Domangue; and sister, Shirley Felio.

The family would like to thank Dr. Dickie Haydel and all the family and friends who helped with his care.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, August 5, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at St. Ann Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
