Downed economy, cold makes hard job tougher

Raymond J. Soudelier, 67, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010.
He is survived by his sons, Eric (Vanessa) and Shannon Soudelier; daughters, Theresa Dupre and Deena (Joseph) Bryant; brothers, Francis and Allen Soudelier; sister, Mable Michel; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and six step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Champagne Soudelier; parents, Alton and Mable Falgout Soudelier Sr.; brother, Alton Soudelier Jr.; and sisters, Agnes Soudelier and Catherine Sutterfield.
He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial at the church cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
