Raymond Joseph Kraemer, 83, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011.


Mr. Kraemer served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was retired from Texaco.

He is survived by his wife, Jewel Kraemer; children, Larry (Cookie), Terry (Kem) and Kevin (Carla) Kraemer, Peggy (Myron) Hebert, Connie Fortson, Tammy (Glynn) Davis, Sharon (Richard) Sonier, Theresa (Chuck) Sullivan and Angela (Bret) Alton; brothers, Chester, Robert and Leroy Kraemer; sister, Modez Deroche; 24 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Clara Kraemer; son, Teddy Kraemer; and daughter, Paula Bonvillain.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospice for the care and support you have given during our time of need.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 23, and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, June 24 at Chauvin Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. (Chauvin)
