Raymond P. Plaisance, 78, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Wednesday, March 5.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce D. Plaisance; sons, Wayne, Ricky, Dennis and Peter Plaisance; daughter, Peggy Howes; sister, Mary Saucier; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawless and Wilda Landry Plaisance; and sister, Bernice Plaisance.

He was a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion. He retired from banking after 34 years of service.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews, La. with a mass of Christian burial to follow. He will be buried at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland.

Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
