Reynold Joseph Pitre, 83, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014.
Mr. Pitre was a fun-loving person, wonderful husband and great father. He retired from Halliburton after 23 years of service and was a volunteer and manager for the food bank. He was a member of the VFW and Knights of Columbus and was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Pitre; sons, Ronnie (Geralyn), Jason (Patti) and Chris (Sherrie) Pitre; daughter, Lynn (Stanley) Ritchie; six grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilton and Lena Pitre; and brother, Alton Pitre.
Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
