Rhea Cook Arcemont, 74, a native of Morgan City, La., and resident of Bayou L’Ourse, La., died at 7:53 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012.

Mrs. Arcemont served as a reader of the sacred scripture and a Eucharistic minister for the Catholic community. She also served as a poll Commissioner-in-Charge for Assumption Parish, La.


She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jeffrey Arcemont Jr.; children, Celeste (Wally) Tabor, Minette (Ray) Hughes and Jeffrey III (Lisa) Arcemont; siblings, Allison III, Errol (Joan) and Paul (Karen) Cook; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isabel and Allison Jr. Cook; and sister, Joycelyn Callahan.

Interment was at Morgan City Cemetery. (Twin City)
