Richard Allen Miles, 63, a native of Tellcity, In., and a resident of Gulfport, Ms., died at 8:38 a.m. Monday, August 4.

He is survived by his wife, Hope Powell Miles of Gulfport; three sons, Jimmy Miles, Ricky Miles of Gulfport and Allen Simon of Austin, Tx.; two brothers, Dennis Miles and Kippy Miles of Tennessee; one sister, Kyra Jean Wilson of Tennessee; and one grandchild.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Miles and Eva Pollard Miles; and one brother, Tommy Miles.

He was owner and president of Hope Services and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, August 7, at Riemann Funeral Home in Gulfport. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial at Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport.
