September 6, 2011Richard “Pedo” Paul Prosperie Sr., 65, a native of Montegut, La., and resident of Bourg, La., died at 11:57 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Prosperie; son, Richard Prosperie Jr.; brother, Gail (Mary) Prosperie; sisters, Peggy (Ruble) Pitre and Sherry (Dale) Levron; grandchildren, Shay, Zachary and Alexis Prosperie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leopold and Thelma Prosperie; and sister, Barbara Lewis.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2 at St. Ann Multi-Purpose Room in Bourg and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg. Religious services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Montegut. (Samart)
