Richard "Richie" Vernon Battise, Jr.

Richard “Richie” Vernon Battise, Jr., 43, a resident of Chauvin, La. and a native of Houma, La., died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006.

Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, and from 8 a.m. to funeral time, in which mass will be held, Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, at Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin, with burial in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Luke Battise of Chauvin; his parents, Richard Vernon Battise, Sr. and Emma Blanchard Battise of Chauvin; one son, Rich Battise of Bourg; two daughters, Lacey and Casey Battice of Chauvin; three brothers, Kelly Battise and wife, Kim of Gray, Jason Battise and wife, Amanda, and Robert Battise and wife, Shanna of Chauvin; two sisters, Elizabeth Champagne and husband, Marc of Chauvin, and Tonni LeCompte and husband, John of Houma, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon and Elizabeth Battise Ware, and Alexander and Therese Blanchard; his great- grandparents, Roy and Katie DeSilvey, and his niece, Jennifer Champagne.
