January 26, 2018Rita Saia Ayers, 93, a native and resident of Houma, died on January 16, 2018.
Mrs. Ayers is survived by her daughters, Judy Ayers Bryant and husband Gerald and Linda A. Ayers; grandchildren, Gerald Bryant Jr. and wife Tammy, Trent C. Bryant, Tammy Bryant Spaulding and husband Tony, Scott C. Ayers; great grandchildren, Gabrielle Bryant, Bethany Bryant, Evan Bryant, Tristyn Browning, and Scott Overton.
She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary; St. Francis De Sales Alter Society, and Houma Kaycee Ladies Auxillary. Her passion was cooking. She loved being in the kitchen cooking Italian food. Meatballs were her specialty.
