Council restricts multi-colored tombs

Rita Rhodes Cargill, 87, a native of Montegut, La., and resident of Bourg, La., died at 8:50 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012.
Mrs. Cargill was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. She was a clerk for Louisiana Power and Light and retired after 33 years. She will be forever remembered for her compassion, kindness and generosity, combined with a strong love of family.
She is survived by her daughter, Carly Jo (Wade) Pitre; and grandchildren, Cade and Luke Pitre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Cargill; parents, Gustave and Amanda Rhodes; brothers, Mertile, Thomas, Hansel and O’Neal Rhodes; and sisters, Lillian Naquin, Anna Lee Price, Vivian Boquet and Elodee Bartell.
Burial was at St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
