Robert Lee Creel, 92, a native of Bogalusa, La., resident of Baton Rouge, La., and former resident of Larose, La., died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010.

Mr. Creel served in the Army Air Corps in World War II, was retired from 37 years of service with Exxon, primarily based at Grand Isle and was a member of Exxon Annuitant Club of Louisiana Bayous. He loved spending time with family and gardening.


He is survived by his daughters, Peggy (Gordon) Humbert and Bonnie (Dodi Prather) Creel; sons, Ken (Cathy) and Robert (Susan) Creel; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, J.D. Creel; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Celeste Creel; his wife of 63 years, Evelyn Dasch Creel; his sister, Maude Adams; and his brothers, Willard and Howard Creel.

He is interred at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
