Robert “Hijacker” Lirette Sr., 71, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, January 13, 2008.
He is survived by his former spouse, Ruth Lirette; sons, Bill and Gina Lirette, and Robert Lirette, Jr.; daughter, Karin and Chuck Boudreaux; sisters, Lefey L. Smith and Lillian Sahm; two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and caregiver, Carl Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor and Lillian Porche Lirette; brother, Leon Lirette; and sister Nora Bourgeois.
Robert was a volunteer fireman for Bayou Blue.
Memorial Services will be announced at a later date.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
