Robert J. Parks Sr., 71, a native and resident of Lockport, LA., died at 11:25 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2006.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Jeandron Parks; three sons, Robert J. Parks Jr. and wife, Lynn Babin Parks, Jody Michael Parks and wife, Julie Caillouet Parks, and Jude Ernest Parks and wife, Kelly Guidroz Parks; two daughters, Carrie Parks Louque and husband, Rick, and Claudia Parks Danos and husband, Harry; one brother, Thomas H. Parks and wife, Myrtle Bergeron Parks; 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ignace and Ida Guidroz Parks.
He was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Alzheimer’s Research or Holy Savior Catholic School.
Falgout Funeral Homes of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
