Roderick Wayne Powell, 44, a native of Sulphur, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 7:37 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012.


Mr. Powell was a master auto body technician and custom fabricator for 20 plus years. He was a loving husband, father and friend and an avid fisher, hunter, gardener and Saints fan.


He is survived by his wife, Bootsy Powell; sons, Randal Powell and Joshua Naquin; daughters, Hayley McCutcheon and Brooke Argyilan; parents, Robert and Janice Powell; brothers, Robert II and Ryan Powell; and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dewey and Mabel Freeman and Floyd and Pauline Powell.

Burial was at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. (Chauvin)
