Roland Andrew Robichaux, 85, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 16.


He is survived by his wife, Leona LeBouef Robichaux of Houma; two sons, Richard Robichaux and wife Bonnie of Chauvin, La., and Carroll Robichaux and wife Judy of Houma; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and one step-great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Robichaux and Julie Lirette Robichaux; two brothers, Eugene and Junius Robichaux; and four sisters, Levie Richards, Hazel Bonvillain, Esther Bourg and Ruby LeBouef.


He was a retired truck driver for Southdown Sugars, a U.S. Army veteran of World

War II and a member of the VFW Houma Post. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, September 18, at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, September 19, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with mass to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
