Roland Thomas Sr.

Roland Thomas Sr., 76, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of New Orleans, La., died Friday, Oct. 22, 2010.

Mr. Thomas was a member of Third Zion Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Thomas; daughters, Gloria Thomas, Annette (Charles) Porche and Charette Thomas; sons, Anthony (Peggy), Christopher, Roland Jr. and Wesley (Tyran) Thomas, Terrance (Patricia) Parker, and Glen (Monica) and Tommy Thomas; stepson, Ronnie Parker; brother, Burl Thomas; sister, Geraldine Thomas Triggs; 22 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Early and Ida Thomas; one son, Larry Thomas; one brother, Robert Thomas; one sister, Shirley Thomas; and one grandson, Anthony J. Thomas.

He is buried at Third Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
