Ronald F. Voisin, 68, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Lafayette, La., died Wednesday, April 13, 2011.


Mr. Voisin was a pioneer and entrepreneur in the oil industry and a member of the Lion’s Club. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.


He is survived by his wife, Joanne Jaccuzzo Voisin; sons, Brent (Kerri) and Sam (Jennifer) Voisin; four grandchildren, Kellie Sue, Victoria Lynn, Cody Joseph, and Jacob Anthony Voisin; brother, Nolan Voisin; and sisters, Ruth Grabert, Gloria Champagne and Ethel Brunet.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cyprien and Theresa Dupre Voisin; and five brothers, Chester Sr., Wilbert, Andy, Ray and Ruby Voisin.

He is buried at St. Eloi Church Cemetery in Theriot, La. (David Funeral Home)
