Rose Mary Riggio Duckworth, 89, a native of Tickfaw, La. and resident of Destrehan, La. died Monday, November 5, 2007.

She is survived by two sons, John P. Carroll, Jr. and Pick P. Duckworth; one daughter, Cynthia R. Shotwell; one brother, Charles Reggio; 25 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her second husband, Pink “Unk” Duckworth; her first husband, John P. Carroll, Sr.; her parents, Ignazio and Stefanie Defiore Reggio; three sons, Charles W. Carroll, Robert Duckworth, and Willard Duckworth; five brothers, Sam, Salvodore, Gasper, Peter, and Guy Reggio; and four sisters, Maime Robeau, Mary Parfait, Grace Allison, and Barbara Wilcox.

She is buried in St. Roch Cemetery No. 2 in New Orleans, La.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
