Mrs. Rosie “Nanae” Smith George Howard, 63, a native of Chauvin, LA. and a resident of Houma, LA., died Saturday, March 24, 2007.


Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007 and from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2007 at Community Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Southdown Cemetery.


She is survived by her first husband, Raymond George of Houma; her father, William Smith, Jr. of Houma; her son, Ronnie George of Baton Rouge, LA.; her daughter, Karen George of Houma; her brothers, Russell Smith and William Smith of Anahvac, TX.; her sisters, Lou Ethel Terry and Hazel Evans both of Baytown, TX.; 13 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her second Husband, Adam Howard; her mother, Rosie Coleman Smith; her brother, John Smith; her paternal grandparents, William and Letha Melton Smith; and her maternal grandparents, Ollie Brooks Jones, Russell Coleman and Clarence Jones.

She was a baptist, and she enjoyed fishing and cooking.

She was a retired C.N.A. from Southdown Care Center.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
