Rosie J. Williams, 91, a native of Chavin, La. and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, December 02, 2006.


Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 9:00pm Friday, December 08, 2006 at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Chavin. The Religious service will be held Saturday at 12:00 noon at the Church. Burial will be in Bisland Cemetery in Bourg, La.


She is survived by two sons, Bennie Williams Jr. and wife Gail and Leonard Williams Sr. and wife Cloteal of Houma; six daughters, Irma Harris, Verna W. Smith and husband Claude, Rose Trosclair and husband Fred and Hazel L. Hartman and husband Ernest of Chavin, Martha W. Johnson and husband Charles and Sandra Aubert of Houma; foster daughter, Nadine Johnson of Houma; one sister, Hazel Garrison of Kenner, La.; one brother, Westley Jackson Sr. of Chavin; she is also survived by twenty seven grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and twenty one great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Williams Sr.; parents, Ace and Cloteal Jackson; one son, Thomas Williams Sr.; one granddaughter, two grandsons, two sons-in-law, and one daughter in law.

She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was the Mother of the church. She enjoyed cooking and baking.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La. is in charge of arrangements.
