Roy Louis Adams, 84, a native of Cut Off, La., and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died Wednesday, May 18, 2011.


Mr. Adams was Catholic. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a member of VFW and the American Legion. He was an avid fisherman and he loved to dance. Roy was retired from Otis Engineering.


He is survived by his companion, Mildred Rousse; sons, Wayne, Jack (Theresa), Jerry (Patty) and James (Debbie) Adams; sisters, Gloria Eymard and Irene Matherne; five grandchildren, Melissa Garrison, Elizabeth Turpin, Samantha Hymel, and Hayley and Mathew Adams; and one great-grandson, Mark Caffery Garrison Jr.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louella Adams; parents, Earline and Louis Adams; and brother, Dallas Adams.

He is buried at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
