Roy “Fido” Joseph Prosperie, 82, a native of Montegut, La., and a resident of Gray, La., died Friday, March 27.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Chamberlain Prosperie; son, Tony Prosperie and wife Belinda; daughter, Gina Brasell and husband John; brother, Miguel Prosperie Jr.; sisters, Phyllis Thibodaux and Mary Chaisson; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel Sr. and Lydia McElroy Prosperie; and sister, Ruth Ruiz.
A religious service was Monday, March 30, followed by burial at Bisland Cemetery in Bourg, La.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
