Roy “Joe” Delaune, 99, a native of Labadieville, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, December 6.
He is survived by one daughter, Jo Ann Delaune Faslund and husband John; grandchildren, Dionne Faslund Smith and husband Brian and Brent Anthony Faslund and wife Michele; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Brittany and JoLee Faslund; and step-great-grandchildren, Alexis Kraemer and Austin Naquin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertie Richard Delaune; his parents, Joseph Delaune and Victoria Clause Delaune; one great-grandchild, Blaine Michael Faslund; and four sisters, Hilda D. Reed, Nora D. Guillot, Alice D. Prendergest and Jeanne D. Boudreaux.
He was owner/operator of Delaune’s Mobil for 23 years. He will be missed by family and friends.
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church with mass to follow. He will be buried at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
