Roy Joseph Bergeron, 56, a native of Mathews, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 1:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2011.

He is survived by his mother, Leona Crochet; companion, Melissa Chauvin; sisters, Esther Lirette, Althea Millet, Margie Davine, Audrey Ellender, Susan Giroir, Theresa Bergeron, Beulah Vedros, Ula Mae Chauvin and Wanda Brunet; brothers, Alvin, Charles, Michael and Allen Bergeron and Herman LeBlanc; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.


He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Bergeron; stepfather, Ernest Crochet; brothers, Virgis Landry, Alton Jr., Eugene and Joseph Bergeron and Ernest and Marcellian Bourgeois; and sisters, Bridget Bergeron, Bessie Perrilou and Elsie Mae Bergeron

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at Chauvin Funeral Home with services to follow. Burial will be at Bayou Black Cemetery. (Chauvin)
