Roy Joseph Breaux, 82, a native of Bayou Black, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, May 22, 2014.

Mr. Breaux proudly served his country during the Korean War and also enjoyed some of that time playing football for the Army. He loved his family and bragging about his great-grandson, Jackson. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and gardening. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lena Mae Breaux; son, David (Darlene) Breaux; brother, Ray Breaux; sister, Lea Earl Bergeron; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  


He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Stella Breaux; brother, Albert Breaux; and sister, Marion Trahan.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Entombment will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 1. (Chauvin)
