Gov.’s wife joins effort to build Gray Habitat home

May 20, 2010Russel Clifton Benoit Sr., 84, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 4:50 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2010.
Mr. Benoit is survived by sons, Russel II (Grace) and Ward (Anne) Benoit; daughters, Sheryle (Harold) Chauvin, Beverly (Daryl) Pitre and Janet Benoit; sister, Shirley Landry; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association are appreciated.
He is buried at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
