Local lawmakers’ pre-filings a mixed bag
March 25, 2010Russel C. Chiasson, 78, a native of Labadieville, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010.
Mr. Chiasson was a member of the North Thibodaux Fire Department.
He is survived by twin sons, Perry (Marlene) and Kerry (Gwen) Chiasson; daughters, Carla (Richard) Bourgeois and Charlene (Aaron “Bo”) Melvin; sister, Katherine Chiasson; four grandchildren, Jennifer Thibodeaux, Ryan and Chris Chiasson and Jacob Bourgeois; four step-grandchildren, Kayla and Brian Knight, and Andrew and Ellen Melvin; and one step-great-grandchild, Khloe Grace Thibodeaux.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Adams Chiasson; and parents, Paul and Mae Prejean Chiasson.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Thibodaux Funeral Home and from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux. Mass will be said at 1 p.m. Friday at the church.
He will be buried at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
