Russell J. Kiger Sr., 54, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010.
Mr. Kiger was Catholic.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine “Cat” D. Kiger; sons, Russell Jr. and Brett Kiger; daughter, Sabrina K. Griffin; brothers, George J. “Chico” Kiger, Johnny Boudreaux and Leroy Curole; sisters, Georgianne Ludeman, Angelina Dardar, Sylvia Billiot, Connie Gaudet, Donna Lynn Selvage, Evelyn Savoie, Cynthia Bernard, Christine Berthaut, Paulette Rowell, Annette Bellanger, Cathy Cooksey and Tish Cantrelle; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George L. Kiger and Hazel Prosperie Bernard; and three brothers, Gary Sr., Michael and George Jr. Kiger.
He is buried at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano, La.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are preferred to help with medical expenses.
