Ruthie Mae “Betty” Smith, 72, a native and resident of Raceland, LA., died Sunday, February 18, 2007.
Visitation will be from 9 p.m. until funeral time Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Third Zion Baptist Church in Raceland. Religious service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two sisters, Leomia Shelby and Delores Charles of Raceland, and two brothers, Oliver Smith and Elton Smith of Raceland.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Ethel Smith, and one brother, Wilbert Smith.
She was a member of Third Zion Baptist Church. Her hobbies include cooking.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
