Gov.’s wife joins effort to build Gray Habitat home

May 20, 2010Samuel Gaither Jr., 59, a native of Dularge, La., and a resident of Gray, La., died Friday, May 7, 2010.
Mr. Gaither worked for Gulf Island for 22 years. He was a member of River Parish Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Brenda Ann Welch Gaither; sons, Samuel III (LaShawn) and Steven (Kiva) Gaither Sr.; five grandchildren; brothers, James, Charles and Bruce Gaither; sisters, Brenda (Raymond) Wolfe, Eva Gaither, Patricia Cheavis and Roslyn Gaither.
He is buried at St. Luke Baptist Church Cemetery.
