Samuel “Sam” Stoufflet, 36, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 10:07 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2011.


Mr. Stoufflet was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Church. He was a krewe of Mardi Gras float captain and a diehard LSU Fan. He was employed with Crosby Tugs, Inc.


He is survived by his wife, Nicole Stoufflet; daughter, Kaylin Stoufflet; parents, Ernest (Gail) Stoufflet and Sally (Tony) Galliano; half-brother, Ernie Stoufflet Jr.; half-sister, Sara (Greg) Duthu; stepsisters, Debbie Johnson and Sharon Sherwood; and stepbrother, Eddie (Lucinda) Cancienne.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Norman Breaux Jr.; and grandparents, James and Helen Landry, Ernest and Marjorie Stoufflet Jr., and Ferdinand and Ethel Babin.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at Samart Funeral Home and 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church in Houma with mass to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma. (Samart)
