Sarah Mae James Huffaker, 82, a native of Stanford, Ky. and resident of Houma, La., died at 10:30 p.m., Friday, April, 27, 2007.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious services will be at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.


She is survived by one son, Rodney Huffaker and wife, Teresa, of Houma; one brother, Howard James; one sister, Betty D’arcy of Pasadena, Tx.; two grandchildren, Angela Smith and husband, Kelly, and Scott Huffaker and two great-grandchildren, Victoria and Logan Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Veenoy B. Huffaker; parents Jesse L. James and Ludema Gillian James; six brothers, Clark James, Ira James, Oscar James, Jesse James Jr., David James and Raymond James and one sister, Emma Daugherty.

She was a homemaker and parishioner of the Mulberry Baptist Church.
