Sheila Rhodes Guidry, 61, a native and resident of Morgan City, La., died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013.


Mrs. Guidry was a loving and caring wife, mother and sister. A peacemaker in the family, she listened to all sides of the story and never judged. She was an excellent cook and while her husband was famous for his gumbo, she was known for her banana cake. She was dedicated to her faith and God.

She is survived by her son, Gregory Guidry; brothers, Clyde (Nancy), Nathan, Kenneth (Betsy) and Kim (Cynthia) Rhodes; and sisters, Dolores (Mitchell) Fears, Pamela (Wiley) Bordelon and Rebecca (Darrell) Kuhn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Guidry; parents, Davis and Sylvia Ann Rhodes; and stepson, David Guidry.


Burial is at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
