Shirley A. Rome, 72, a native and resident of Kraemer, La., died at 8:32 a.m., Saturday, December 27.
She is survived by her husband, Lester Paul Rome; her mother, Emily Cortez Adams; two daughters, Rose R. Hebert and husband Terry and Mary R. Hotard and husband Rossie; two brothers, Jimmy J. Adams and Herbert J. Adams Jr.; and three grandchildren, Terilyn Hebert, Jerilyn Hebert and Lexi Hotard.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert J. Adams Sr.; her grandparents, Stanislaus Adams and Louis Prestenbach Adams and Frosin Cortez and Evelie Larousse Cortez; and two sisters, Dolores A. Landry and Helen A. Guidry.
She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and a retired Lafourche Parish teacher.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, at St. Lawrence the Martyr Church in Kraemer with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
