Shirley Babineaux

Shirley Marie Cadiere Dupre Babineaux, 77, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, August 24, 2007, at 11:30 a.m.

She is survived by one sister, Odilia Babin of Houma.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Dupre; her second husband, Joseph Jeffrey Babineaux; her parents, Thomas Cadiere and Jennie Pitre Cadiere; four brothers, Wilbert Cadiere, Harris Cadiere, Joseph Cadiere and Shelby J. Cadiere; two sisters, Leola Babin and Viola Stine Lirette.

Shirley was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion.

She is buried in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma.

Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
