Sidney “BaeBae” Paul Bourgeois, 87, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Orleans and St. Bernard parishes, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010.


Mr. Bourgeois served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as an insignia painter and was retired from Todd Shipyard in Algiers. He will forever be remembered as a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather and brother who loved his country and treasured his family.

He is survived by his wife, Angelina Colombo; daughters, Brenda (Craig) Schouest and Judy (Frank) Mangiapane; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Michael) DeRouen, Kadee (Justin) Burkhardt, Jill (Troy) Organo and Hope Mangiapane; three great-grandchildren, Sydney, Nicco and Giovanni; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Villery Bourgeois and Maggie Daigle; and siblings, Henry “LeeLee”, Hyman “Kanan”, Villery Jr. “Bell”, Willie and Louise Bourgeois.

He is buried at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
