Sidney Meyers, 76, a native of Carencro, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, April 22.
He is survived by his wife, Lollie Barker Meyers of Houma; sons, Donald Wayne Meyers and wife Sheila of Houma, and Christopher Dale Meyers and wife Brandy of Youngsville; daughters, Romona M. Marcel and husband James Jr. of Houma, and Jennifer Ann Meyers Boudreaux and husband Richard Jr. of Labadieville, La.; brother, Whitney Meyers and wife Rita of Biloxi, Ms.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Meyers and Ada Credeur Meyers.
He was a retired truck driver with Raymond Fabrication and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, April 24, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Chauvin Funeral Home with mass to follow Friday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He will be buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
