Thibodaux church finds its place after 10-year expansion
January 12, 2010Sidney “Dixie” Simoneaux Jr., 69, a native and resident of Paincourtville, La., died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Celia Mae Simoneaux; daughter, Vanessa (Fabian) Wilson; sisters, Theresa S. Breaux, and Barbara (Jack) Robertson; brother, Ronald (Evelyn) Simoneaux; three sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Simoneaux; parents, Carrie and Sidney Simoneaux Sr.; sister, Sandra Simoneaux; and brothers, Walter, Alfred, Raymond, Fred, Curtis and Roland Simoneaux.
He was a retired painter.
He is buried at St. Charles Baptist Church Cemetery in Paincourtville.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville, La., is in charge of arrangements.
