Houma man found guilty of wife’s ‘04 storage box murder

Sidney Joseph Tabor, 84, a native of Thibodaux, LA. and resident of Chackbay, LA., died Wednesday, January 31, 2007.


Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by three sons, Jude, Gary and Darryl Tabor; three daughters, Arynita T. Armstrong, Kathleen T. Kraemer and Michelle T. Templet; one stepdaughter, Beverly Brown; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Roundtree Tabor; his parents, Victor and Luciana Ordoyne Tabor; one son, Michael Angel Tabor; one brother, Wilton E. Tabor; two stepbrothers, Valcour Benoit and Edward Benoit; one sister, Malvina Tabor Benoit Lasseigne; and one stepsister, Edwina Benoit.
