Simon “Lil Simon” Williams Jr., 85, a native and resident of Ewellville, La., died at Heritage Manor of Napoleonville, La., Sunday, October 26.

He is survived by five daughters and spouses, Gail and Bartley Johnson of Napoleonville, Sabrina and Sonny Ogiugo of Dallas, Tx., Trulane and Ernest Brown of Belle Rose, La., Tonja Williams of Napoleonville and Starlet and Richard Williams of Fayette, Ms.; four sisters, Irene Parker and Louise Sloan, both of Las Vegas, Nv., and Julia Morris and Ophelia Williams, both of Ewellville; one brother, Lionel Williams Sr. of Westwego, La.; eight grandchildren; and numerous relatives.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Ophelia and Simon Williams Sr.; his companion, Hollyween Carr; one son, Simon Williams III; two sisters, Hazel Williams and Wilana Skidmore; and four brothers, Percy, Walter, Henry and Willie Williams.

He was buried at Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery in Paincourtville, La.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of the arrangements.
